Only when we shine light on our shadows we are able to tranform them

Image
Hello everybody, I hope you are all doing well. I think this is actually the most important post I have ever wrote and something so important to me to share with you. I think the hardest and darkest times in life are crucial to get clearity about ourselves and transform to a better version of ourselves - or better to find the way back to our true self, our essence. Everything that triggers you in life or makes you feel that your loosing control is a strong sign of a wound that isn´t healed yet inside of yourself. So every person or circumstance that comes along your way in life is there in order to reflect your own shadows. Things that make you upset are things you do not want to see about yourself! Things you point your finger on and critize, are actually things you do not want to see in yourself and therefore you also do not want to accept them or you are simply unaware of their existance. We can not change other people and their behaviour but what we can change is how we react to th...

Gratitude - A life long lesson.

Image
Hello everybody, I hope you are all doing well. I just think gratitude is so important to include in our daily life. Gratitude makes us feel alive and happy because we connect with the present moment and with ourselves. Instead of focusing what we do not have and would like to have, we appreciate what is already right in front of us. This way we are able to invite awareness in our life because we take a moment to truly see ourselves and not what is happening around us - we focus on the inside.. With gratitude we learn to accept our past and we let go of the constant necessity to control every situation. We let go of our ego and see ourselves with love and appreciation. We can let go of our shame and regret, we are able to forgive. With gratitude we give life a chance to embrace challenges instead of procrastinate and letting fear rule our life - this let us become a wiser and better version of ourselves. “Be thankful for everything that happens in your life; it’s all an experience.” ...

How to reduce anxiety. 5 tips

Image
Hello everybody! I hope you are healthy and safe.  Many of us struggle with anxiety, especially in the current time of uncertainty. But anxiety makes us feel helpless and weak and hence tears us away from the present moment. Then we often forget for what we can feel greatful and all our once positive thoughts will disappear in anxiousness. “Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strengths.” ― C. H. Spurgeon So here are my 5 top tips to reduce anxiety: 1. Make yourself clear that you are not your anxious thoughts. Write down everything that makes you feel worried. Like this it gets out of your head and you gonna feel released. 2. Try to take a pause in the moments you are feeling your anxiety. Place your hand at your heart and accept your feelings but tell yourself that everything is alright and that you can feel save. 3. In moments of anxiety try to take deep breaths. Imagine your breath wanders along your body - from your fe...

3 tips how to let go of things that no longer serves you - Monday motivation #3

Image
Hello everybody and happy November! It is incredible how fast time flies. Autumn is the perfect season to let go everything that no longer serves you. Only when you are not afraid of change, you can allow to free yourself of everything that does not bring value anymore or that even make you feel heavy. 1. Write a list with negative and limiting beliefs, emotions or thoughts that do not serve you anymore and burn that list. You will feel so much more free and create space for new things!  2. Declutter your work/living space. Give items away that you did not use the last few months! 3. Do not judge your past. When you identify yourself with your past and painful emotions then you will stay stucked in life and will not embrace growth. Try to change negative habits and replace them with postitive ones! © Wind of Happiness

Mindful sunday #9

Image
Hello everyone! I hope you are all well and save! Today I want to speak with you about why uncertainty is helping us to grow. In relation to this topic I found a beautiful quotation that says: “Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. ...live in the question.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke So, let me remind you that no matter where you find yourself right now, no matter if you go through uncertain times right now or not - it is all there to help you grow which means to get your inner power and courage back in order to then gain personal strenght.  Because only if we go through the darkness, through uncomfort and fear, we will grow. And growth always means as well to fail first but then have the patience to get back and overcome whatever holds you back.  I wish you a delightful and mindful sunday! With all my love 💛   © Wind of Happiness

Why acceptance is helping us to let go of emotional pain.

Image
Happy Easter to everyone! I wish you a beautiful day with much peace and love! Today I want to talk with you about acceptance. I found an inspiring quote that shows really well how acceptance looks like: “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ― Lao Tzu  I think acceptance is something many of us struggle with - maybe almost every day. But the truth is that if we don´t let go of things that cause stress and anxiety and aren´t our reality or things that are not in our own power to change, then we gonna hold on to unneccesary emotional pain. You always have the choice between 3 options: changing, leaving or accepting. So ask yourself from time to time: Which things make me upset or pull me down? Can I change them? If the answer is "no" then don´t complain anymore about them. Let go of them (leave) or accept them exaxct...

Why you should not compare yourself to others.

Image
Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. Today I want to speak with you about comparison. To compare ourselves to others is one of the most common reasons why we are unsatiesfied with ourselves and our life. We tend to seek for things in the outside that seem to make others happy. But the journey to true joy & happiness is right inside of you. You need to know that: " There will never be anyone exactly like you. You were given special gifts and talents to share with the world, and even though everybody has special gifts and talents, nobody will use theirs quite the same way you do. " – Jen Sincero The truth is that no matter what we will achieve what others are achieving we will never be happy because we need to understand and learn to accept our own needs and especially we need to see our own gifts & talents and use them to accomplish our dreams & goals. So use them...

Be patient.

Image
“ Our patience will achieve more than our force. ” – Edmund Burke Sometimes we need to be patient. We need to settle our power and energy down and get calm. So calm that we are able to embrace the unknown and stop control whatever there is. We need to learn and especially accept that the future isn`t in our hands.  Only if we trust the process we will find the puzzle pieces we are looking for and we will become one with our biggest dreams. I believe in you! 💚   © Wind of Happiness

Why compassion towards yourself & others helps you to be happier.

Image
“We are all different. Don’t judge, understand instead.” ― Roy T. Bennett Compassion means to let go of our own way of thinking, to leave our comfort zone behind and try to feel what others feel. Compassion does not mean that we always need to agree with others but it means to at least try understand them. To show our love, to be there if they need us.  Also towards ourselves it is important to let go of expectations and perfectionism. Just imagine you see yourself in the mirrow and you start thinking: "I do not like my body, this part here is too fat etc. Ah - and there is a big spot on my face." You will go along with that negative thoughts of yourself all day - instead of focusing on the positive things like your beautiful hair. That example just simply shows that we will not notice beautiful things, if we are not compassionate with ourselves. In other words: To accept ourselves and others we need to invite love & compassion in order to be content with what ...

Why healing starts in the silent moments.

Image
Hello everyone! As I already wrote an article about forgiveness I want to speak with you about healing. In my opinion healing happens in the silent moments. Because only when we experience stillness we are able to reconnect to ourselves. In other words: Only if we find time for ourselves we will find out what is really important to us and what really matters in life. To find this out we need to let go everything that does not serve us anymore - that is not what we are. All that expectations of others can cover our true self and our values. Make sure to slow down once in a while and ask youself: What do I really want in life? What gives me strength? What fulfills me? What makes me truly happy? (If you have forgotten this think about what made you happy when you were a child? What did you like to do?) Sometimes we do not know what to answer to these questions because we are too busy with our life and too busy to fulfill those expectations of others but remember that with self-love &...

Trust the process of life.

Image
“Life is like the river, sometimes it sweeps you gently along and sometimes the rapids come out of nowhere.” ― Emma Smith   This quotation is showing that we all may have peaceful and calm times when everything seems to unfold perfectly in life and then suddenly there are these unpredictable times maybe full of rush and perhaps even of uncertainty and fear. But always remember that only the process of life makes us what we are today. We always learn something out of the `rapids` in life. Sometimes we can not predict and control them. But we need to learn to swim with them - not swimming against them. May you have a wonderful start into a new month full of new opportunities. Whatever comes to your life embrace it with acceptance and loving kindness.💙 © Wind of Happiness

Yoga pose series #Tree pose

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the yoga pose series! In this series you will learn how to practice some common yoga poses (I am not an expert, I am just sharing my own experience with you because I think yoga has the potential to change our life!) and you will get to know which benefits they can bring to your life - if you practice them regularly of course.  Let us start with the "Tree pose". Like the name itself already says we try to keep ourselves strong and balanced in this pose and we connect with the ground underneath like a tree that is connected through its roots. We try to stay upright like a tree no matter how hard the wind is blowing. Even if we are swaying from side to side we stay connected to our origin - to our roots. Which benefits brings us this pose? It is a quite common pose for beginners and strengthens many muscles and ligaments of our legs, opens our hips and strengthens as well our core. This yoga pose is super helpful to improve your whole posture and ...

Life is like the ocean.

Image
Hello everyone! Today I want to share a beautiful quote with you that gives me strength in this uncertain time and reminds me to have faith no matter what life brings to us: “None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because we trust. Because we have Faith.” ― Paulo Coelho Always remember: Life is a journey. Life is like the ocean. In constant change. Big waves are crushing, wild storms are blowing but in the end there will always be peace and light, there will be a day when you can see the horizon. We need to be grateful for all challenges, for all struggles in life. They always teach us something even if we do not see the sense of them right now. But we will understand one day. Hope for better days & accept what is right now. May you be guided and protected.💛   © Wind of Happiness

Why self-love is the key to true love.

Image
“You can be the most beautiful person in the world and everybody sees light and rainbows when they look at you, but if you yourself don't know it, all of that doesn't even matter. Every second that you spend on doubting your worth, every moment that you use to criticize yourself; is a second of your life wasted, is a moment of your life thrown away. It's not like you have forever, so don't waste any of your seconds, don't throw even one of your moments away.” ― C. JoyBell C. This beautiful quotation shows that we need to accept and love ourselves with all imperfections as a result to give value to our life and everything around us, including our loved ones. Only when we know who we truly are, when we forgive ourselves to let go of all negativity and to heal our wounds, when we know our goals and dreams, only then we will be able to invite true love to our life. Many people misunderstand the importance of loving themselves because they think that i...
