The secret of overcoming difficult times - Monday Motivation #4

Image
Hello everyone, actually when life gets hard, when external situations and routines change, when we go trough personal lows we often get anxious or sometimes even overwelmed. We get lost in negative thoughts, we get tangeled in panic and we just want to have back the feeling of control.  We start to compare how we felt in the past. Was life better? Easier? Happier? We blame or judge ourselves, we cling to old emotions and memories. Maybe even get a little depressed. Also the feature looks suddenly frightening and unpredictable. How should we manage everything? And this focus on either the past or the future, limits us to actually go through the discomfort, through the pain or fear. We try to suppress and avoid these uncomfortable and painful feelings instead of letting our mind find acceptance and peace with the presence, with reality. If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath.” ― Amit Ray Because the secret of staying strong i...

Gratitude - A life long lesson.

Image
Hello everybody, I hope you are all doing well. I just think gratitude is so important to include in our daily life. Gratitude makes us feel alive and happy because we connect with the present moment and with ourselves. Instead of focusing what we do not have and would like to have, we appreciate what is already right in front of us. This way we are able to invite awareness in our life because we take a moment to truly see ourselves and not what is happening around us - we focus on the inside.. With gratitude we learn to accept our past and we let go of the constant necessity to control every situation. We let go of our ego and see ourselves with love and appreciation. We can let go of our shame and regret, we are able to forgive. With gratitude we give life a chance to embrace challenges instead of procrastinate and letting fear rule our life - this let us become a wiser and better version of ourselves. “Be thankful for everything that happens in your life; it’s all an experience.” ...

Mindful Sunday #11

Image
Hello everyone, January is almost over but I hope you had a great start into the year 2023! Today I am finally writing another mindful sunday post! “The moment you become aware of the ego in you, it is strictly speaking no longer the ego, but just an old, conditioned mind-pattern. Ego implies unawareness. Awareness and ego cannot coexist.” ― Eckhart Tolle  This quote just reminds me of being aware - aware of your thoughts, aware of your actions, aware of the things you consume and aware of the things and people you spend your time with. I think sometimes we´re all so busy to do our chores - but in this moments we are rarely aware of ourselves. And it´s in this times that we kinda feel disconnected and stressed. We aren´t listening to our inner selves and we quickly get unsatisfied with life. So please, take a step back. Take a deep breath and let your to do`s wait. Let your mind wander and explore your inner self. It doesn´t matter if you take a walk, if you make yours...

Reminder #1: Don`t let yourself hold back from expectations of others.

Image
Hello everybody, today I just want to remember myself and you that we should not let other people an their opinions determine our lifes. Why are we always listening to others what´s good for ourselves? Why are other opinions than ours so important to us? I mean, why do we make ourselves unhappy instead just following our inner voice, follow our dreams? Or at least try to and when we fail, we stand back up again and look for another way to get through. I wish you courage! Be patient with yourselves - and loving! 💗   © Wind of Happiness

Quote of the month #October

Image
“Feelings come and feelings go. There is no need to fear them and no need to crave them. Be open to your feelings and experience them while they are here. Then be open to the feelings that will come next. Your feelings are a part of your experience. Yet no mere feeling, however intense it may seem, is your permanent reality.” ― Ralph Marston © Wind of Happiness

How to keep yourself motivated. 5 tips

Image
Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well! Today I want to speak with you about motivation. I think it is a very big factor in our life in order to live a happy and fulfilled life! So let us start: 1. Write down your goals! But first ask yourself if those goals are made by yourself or by society. Only stick with the goals that are truly coming from yourself and give all your commitment to them. Afterwards you should decide which ones are the most important and categorize them as short- or long-term oriented. 2. Start small! Write down which steps are needed to reach your next goal and what you need to do. Celebrate small success! 3. Write down motivating quotes and hang them up on your fridge, desk, laptop etc. Read them in moments when you are not motivated, when you are doubting or even when you failed. Always remember that failure and regress have the potential to give you more persistence in order to keep fighting for your goals. 4. Focus on your goals but do not forget to enjoy l...

Be patient.

Image
“ Our patience will achieve more than our force. ” – Edmund Burke Sometimes we need to be patient. We need to settle our power and energy down and get calm. So calm that we are able to embrace the unknown and stop control whatever there is. We need to learn and especially accept that the future isn`t in our hands.  Only if we trust the process we will find the puzzle pieces we are looking for and we will become one with our biggest dreams. I believe in you! 💚   © Wind of Happiness

Why healing starts in the silent moments.

Image
Hello everyone! As I already wrote an article about forgiveness I want to speak with you about healing. In my opinion healing happens in the silent moments. Because only when we experience stillness we are able to reconnect to ourselves. In other words: Only if we find time for ourselves we will find out what is really important to us and what really matters in life. To find this out we need to let go everything that does not serve us anymore - that is not what we are. All that expectations of others can cover our true self and our values. Make sure to slow down once in a while and ask youself: What do I really want in life? What gives me strength? What fulfills me? What makes me truly happy? (If you have forgotten this think about what made you happy when you were a child? What did you like to do?) Sometimes we do not know what to answer to these questions because we are too busy with our life and too busy to fulfill those expectations of others but remember that with self-love &...

Trust the process of life.

Image
“Life is like the river, sometimes it sweeps you gently along and sometimes the rapids come out of nowhere.” ― Emma Smith   This quotation is showing that we all may have peaceful and calm times when everything seems to unfold perfectly in life and then suddenly there are these unpredictable times maybe full of rush and perhaps even of uncertainty and fear. But always remember that only the process of life makes us what we are today. We always learn something out of the `rapids` in life. Sometimes we can not predict and control them. But we need to learn to swim with them - not swimming against them. May you have a wonderful start into a new month full of new opportunities. Whatever comes to your life embrace it with acceptance and loving kindness.💙 © Wind of Happiness

Yoga pose series #Tree pose

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the yoga pose series! In this series you will learn how to practice some common yoga poses (I am not an expert, I am just sharing my own experience with you because I think yoga has the potential to change our life!) and you will get to know which benefits they can bring to your life - if you practice them regularly of course.  Let us start with the "Tree pose". Like the name itself already says we try to keep ourselves strong and balanced in this pose and we connect with the ground underneath like a tree that is connected through its roots. We try to stay upright like a tree no matter how hard the wind is blowing. Even if we are swaying from side to side we stay connected to our origin - to our roots. Which benefits brings us this pose? It is a quite common pose for beginners and strengthens many muscles and ligaments of our legs, opens our hips and strengthens as well our core. This yoga pose is super helpful to improve your whole posture and ...

Why you should never give up to fight for your goals & dreams.

Image
Hello everyone!    First of all it is super essential to ask yourself if the goals & dreams you want to become true are truly coming from yourself. Because often we unconsciously take expectations from our families, friends, partners etc. and make their goals ours. After you assured yourself of that, you should know that it is quite normal that we sometimes struggle to believe in our dreams specially when things are not working out in the way we would like them to work out or if people say that they will not work out but honestly - do not listen to them! No matter how hard it seems right now to fight for your goals & dreams try to always focus on the positive things and on the things you already achieved. Like that you will gather all strength to keep fighting for them.   The process of them becoming true teaches you to accept every obstacle that comes to your life. Furthermore it teaches you to be patient and face anything unwanted on your path with gratitude, ...
